18th Annual AASF Charity Golf Classic Raises $56,000 for Youth Sports

Brantford, ON – September 20, 2024 – The 18th Annual Arnold Anderson Sports Fund (AASF) Charity Golf Classic was a resounding success, raising an impressive $56,000 to support youth sports initiatives. Held at Mont Hill Golf & Country Club on September 18, 2024, the event saw 216 golfers come together for a full day of golfing, fundraising, and community spirit—all in support of providing sports opportunities to children in need.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better day—perfect weather and a great turnout,” said Brent Gordon, President of AASF. “The support we’ve received from the community and participants is truly heartwarming.”

In addition to the excitement on the greens, the day featured a host of on-course activities, raffles, and a silent auction, offering even more ways for attendees to contribute to the cause. Participants enjoyed delicious food and drinks as they navigated the course, making for a memorable day both on and off the fairway.

Supporting Youth Through Sports
The funds raised will help approximately 160 children through AASF’s “Sponsor a Child” program, which ensures that children facing financial barriers have the opportunity to participate in organized sports. The program emphasizes the importance of providing young people with access to the life lessons, friendships, and experiences that come with playing sports.
