I tidy up my closet and ask 5 movie star stylists what to throw away first

I don't know about you, but tidying my closet is usually the last thing I want to do, but it always feels so good cleaning the old and making room for the new when I get around to. Now that I've spent a lot more time at home (read: all of my time), I've inevitably got down to work. For information on which spring fashion trends to donate and which to replace with, I reached out to five celebrity stylists whose literal job is to make sure their A-list clients look as chic and up-to-date as possible.

I knew their recommendations would be good, but I didn't know they would be that good. I couldn't agree with their selection anymore, so I'm taking the chance to share the information here just in case you feel like some spring cleaning too. First, let me say that your suggestions are just that – suggestions – and these are by no means hard and fast rules for what to drop and buy. Instead, consider your personal style when deciding whether these tips are right for you.

Read on to find out the dated spring trends, according to celebrity stylists, then shop for the newer trends that make for a chic wardrobe.
