My dream designer bag and 16 inexpensive ones that I might purchase within the meantime

When it comes to fashion items, there is basically no better investment than a designer bag. Depending on the brand, they have proven time and again that they can hold their value, which makes it a great thing to save for. Right now, the most investment-worthy bag I can always think of is none other than the Gucci 1955 Horsebit Shoulder Bag.

Every time I’ve decided to save up for a designer bag, the bag has become classic and timeless. Who wants to spend a lot of money on something that will look out of date in no time? Introduced last year, the Gucci 1955 bag is based on a decade-old style, which is certainly a good sign, and the medium-sized saddle-style bag is incredibly versatile. Plus, this horsebit detail is as chic as it gets. I’m part of the iteration printed with a logo (which was the most popular among fashion fans), but I would be a proud owner of any of the leather styles too.

While the wait for the Gucci 1955 bag is well worth the wait, I’ll be the first to admit that the wait game isn’t fun. When there is something I really want I can’t stop thinking about it (I’m sure you know the feeling). To put my mind at ease, I’ve picked 16 cheaper ones that I’d love to wear in the meantime (and beyond). Scroll to shop for my dream bag (and see some of the most stylish models in fashion carry it) and a selection of other bags I’d just as happy to own in the meantime.
