Noah Syndergaard makes Twitter beef with Trevor Bauer

Noah Syndergaard decided to troll Trevor Bauer on Twitter on Friday because Bauer signed with the Dodgers as a free agent after it was reported he’d agreed to join Syndergaard with the Mets.

And because Bauer was the type to be trolled, things quickly escalated to a Twitter beef that eventually included Bauer’s agent.

Syndergaard initiated a quote by tweeting a picture of himself laughing with his teammate Robert Gsellman during spring training and giving an “insert punch line here” response to tweak Bauer.

Bauer came back by apologizing to Mets fans after joining the Dodgers – and by adding a reference to Thor’s continued rehab after Tommy John’s surgery.

When mistakes are made, try to get them right. I know you wouldn’t know about mistakes. Hope rehab treats you well. Nice to see you throw again.

Since farmer was a farmer, he decided to keep going. It took him about 10 minutes to find an unflattering exchange between Syndergaard and a social media user.

Meanwhile, Bauer’s agent Rachel Luba entered the chat, talking about negotiations for Bauer’s $ 102 million three-year pact with LA:

Lol this was an attempt to “cast shadows” … 🤔

Did we also say “Dig”?

From then on, the exchange quickly grew tired to the point of exhaustion. Bauer offered the “excavation” a sophomoric reply, Syndergaard came back with a drone reference (see: ALCS 2016 between Cleveland and Toronto), and then Bauer had the last word.

It will be difficult for Bauer to become a hated dodger in the eyes of Mets fans as Chase Utley, but if anyone can do it, then he can. And now, Syndergaard is expected to be back on the hill before New York and LA meet at Citi Field in mid-August.

Maybe Syndergaard’s goal is better this time. New York will be sweaty in midsummer, but he’s had six years to figure out how to get to grips with it.

I’m not a fan of pitchers people hitting or throwing, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited about Mets-Dodgers: Ass In The Jackpot 2.
