Samsung beats Apple to the point with the Galaxy SmartTag +

According to the rumors, Apple is working on its own tracking accessory called AirTags. However, Samsung beat Apple with the introduction of the SmartTag, which was introduced alongside the Galaxy S21 series. Now it looks like Samsung has beaten Apple again with the Galaxy SmartTag +.

Now, the original SmartTag felt more like the Tile Bluetooth tracking accessory, which is fine, although it would have given Apple the advantage as, according to Apple’s AirTags, UWB technology would use more precise tracking. However, with the SmartTag +, Samsung incorporated the same technology before Apple’s announcement.

The SmartTag + can also use augmented reality technology, which allows you to locate your item in a new and different way using the AR Finder Tool on the Samsung smartphone. There is also support for detection not only near you but also when it is far from you.

We have no idea how these accessories will perform in real life, but if anything, it should help us get a clue as to what Apple’s own tracking accessories might look like. For those interested, the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag + will go on sale on April 16 and will be priced at $ 40.
